South London Swimming Club
We swim outdoors all year round. Our home is Tooting Bec Lido. It is the largest fresh water pool in England, encircled by trees and birdsong. The water is clear and cold and the welcome warm. We encourage people to share in these pleasures and also work to preserve outdoor swimming pools for future generations.
We are one
of England's oldest swimming clubs, founded in 1906 and have been holding our
races at Tooting Bec Lido since 1908. We are a very sociable and inclusive
club with members from birth to 90 and every kind of swimmer from those wanting
a leisurely meander through to long distance swimmers training for the channel.
We hold many events in addition to and alongside swimming activities.
