UK Cold Water Swimming Championships 2009
On
the 24th January 2009 South London Swimming Club held the 4th UK Cold Water
Swimming Championships at Tooting Bec Lido. The biennial event, which has
become a must for cold water swimmers, attracted over 300 swimmers, many
of whom were trying it for the very first time. Age and ability were no
barrier as competitors braved the bracing 4°C water of Tooting Bec Lido.
South London Swimming Club would like to thank all of the competitors and spectators who made the event so much fun. We would especially like to thank the volunteer organisers and marshalls without whom the event could not have happened.
