Climate Café at Tooting Bec Lido Pavilion

Sunday 19 May 2019

10.15 – 11.15am

Followed by coffee/tea and further conversation.

Climate breakdown has been very much in the news in the UK recently. The Youth Climate Strikes, Greta Thunberg’s visit to the UK parliament, Extinction Rebellion and the Richard Attenborough Documentary Climate Change, the Facts have recently focused media and public attention on the crisis we are facing.

Many of us are wondering how best to respond.

Climate Café will provide an opportunity to explore individual and collective responses to climate breakdown in an open and conversational setting.

It will be facilitated by Hilary Jennings and Lucy Neal – using personal and professional experiences from the Transition Town Network, Happy Museum and Case for Optimism.

The session will not provide a fact-filled lecture, a heated debate or a list of pre-prepared actions to take away – it should be a place to experiment with ideas and possibilities – hopefully leaving you energised and inspired to make change in a way that reflects your interests and skills.

This is a free event
