Postcards galore were painted at the free art event at Tooting Bec Lido on Sunday 11 September.
The day looked a little grey to start with but by 10.30 the sun had come out and lots of people were busy painting postcards.Young and old took part - Adam was probably the youngest and he really has a taste for painting. Some gorgeous creations were produced and a whole bottle of glitter used!
By 12.30 over 130 cards were either drawn, painted, printed or collaged and a lovely display of some of them can be seen under the shelter on the railway side. Others were taken home and posted to grannies, grandpas, aunts, uncles and friends saying ‘Wish you were here’. And who wouldn’t want to be at the Lido on such a glorious Sunday.
Thank you to Philippa for helping set up, Margy for helping with the display of fabulous cards and Fernando and Pip for helping to clear up.
